You know how in 40 days I’m leaving for Costa Rica for 3 weeks to be in a Sloth Sanctuary’s volunteer project. You may not care but if you do this post is for you: they need help. Real help, because 2011 has been a tough year for them too and taking care of 150 sloths is quite the hard thing.
So maybe you are not able to actually go there and be the Hand but you can be the Head (well actually the Wallet). Give them as much as you can or if you can’t at least spread the word.
Today we are responsible for over 150 sloths. Many have been maimed by electric wires, or tortured by cruel humans. They require our constant attention. We love taking care for these adorable gentle animals, but we need your help.

Rehabilitation, Care and Support of our sloth sanctuary as well as the reseeding of the surrounding area is very expensive. If we are going to curb the increase of orphaned sloths showing up on our doorstep, we must increase our educational efforts and outreach. We cannot continue without the generous donations of our supporters. The Sloth Sanctuary is an official project of Sea Save Foundation, a California based- nonprofit 501 ( c ) 3 organization. Any United States based citizen or company donating to The Sloth Sanctuary receives tax deductible documentation. We suggest that you check with you tax preparation expert for suitability of any deduction.
